Summer 2032 Olympics

The summer Olympics is a global sporting competition that showcases the world's greatest athletes as they compete in their respected sports such as swimming, soccer, track and field (to name a few). Every four years the Olympic games are held in a different city around the world. These host cities take great pride in hosting the event as they can show the world their hospitality, history and culture. Each of these aspects can be seen in the Olympic's opening ceremony, mascots, promotional material and branding.

Project 1 was tasked with designing the branding for the 2032 Olympic Games for a country's major city that has not yet hosted. Emphasis for this project is placed on your process, research and ability to incorporate your hosting city's culture into the branding.

Mood Board
The mood board of Casablanca, Morocco inspired the color scheme and design of the Olympic logo. The design of the logo was taken from the carved designs on the mosque that is centralized in Casablanca.
Here is the the logo designs in different color variations that are used from the palette.
The final logo.
Olympic sport icons were created with the inspiration of the droplet illustration taken from the logo. These are used throughout the Olympics to identify the sport categories.
